College is over, and Emma’s supposed to know what she’s doing. Her overbearing mother thinks she knows: law school and then the family firm. Too bad Emma doesn’t agree.

Meanwhile, her best friend Kim wants to set her up with the new guy in Kim’s office. This is a problem. Patrick is more alluring than Emma wants to admit—infuriatingly so.

Stuck between casebooks and a man who can't seem to make up his mind, Emma jumps ship and heads for a summer study abroad in Ireland. Unfortunately, Ireland doesn’t make things any clearer, especially when she finds herself in bed with cute and studious Alex.

In the wake of her rebellions, Emma is left grasping for a sense of belonging.

Whatever she’s doing, and wherever she’s doing it, Emma will have to embrace the messiness of getting to know herself. Maybe for the first time.

#BookReview: The Queen's Secret (The Queen's Assassin #2) by Melissa de la Cruz

Synopsis: Lilac's birthright makes her the Queen of Renovia, and a forced marriage made her the Queen of Stavin. But being a ruler does not mean making the rules. For Lilac, taking the throne means giving up the opportunity to be with love of her life, the kingdom's assassin, Caledon Holt.

Worse, Cal is forced to leave the castle when a horrific set of magical attacks threatens Lilac's sovereignty. Now Cal and Lilac will have to battle dark forces separately, even though being together is the only thing that's ever saved them.

In the riveting conclusion to Melissa De La Cruz's fantasy duet, love and magic are at war, and victory rests on a knife's edge.

#BookBlitz: Laughing is Forever by Jason Stocks @RABTBookTours

Poetry

Date Published: March 22, 2024

Publisher: MindStir Media

Laughing is Forever is my second book. And while it’s gritty, rhythmic, dark and dangerous it’s also fun, quirky, and inquisitive. Topics range from growing up in the Deep South to questioning the mainstream narrative of how it all . . . came to be. I want people who don’t read much and who hate poetry (the largest demographic) to give this collection a chance and fall in love with books by reading something that they can relate to and/or be awed by. Laughing is Forever is a standalone book, a brand-new beast, but follows in the footsteps of Blameforest in the sense that it’s reinventing what poetry can be. And hopefully inspiring folks to take risks with their own work and stand out from the maddening crowd.
