So when tragedy strikes, Astraea must decide if taking the place of a murdered participant for the safety of her kingdom is a ruse worth dying for, or if protection—and the answers to her past—really are her strongest desires.

⭐⭐~I really wanted to love this book, but from the very beginning, I found myself completely lost—and that confusion never went away. I dove in deep, hoping things would eventually click, but unfortunately, this one just wasn’t for me. The characters felt one-dimensional, making it hard to connect with their struggles, and the story itself felt fragmented, as if the pieces never quite fit together. While the concept had potential, the execution left me feeling disconnected and uninvested. Sadly, this just wasn’t the right read for me.
