Nicole Lesperance’s The Depths drips with eerie, atmospheric horror. From the moment Addie steps onto Eulalie Island, the air feels wrong—lush beauty hiding something rotten underneath. The island breathes, the flowers whisper, and the ghosts refuse to stay buried. The creeping unease sinks in like roots, twisting tighter with every page. Though some plot points felt a bit predictable, the sinister setting and relentless tension kept me hooked. A haunting, unsettling read that lingers like salt on your skin and shadows in your peripheral vision.
