Synopsis: In this sequel to A River of Royal Blood, Eva and Isa must find a way to work together if they want to save their queendom in the thrilling conclusion to this royal fantasy duology.

My Review: "A Queen of Gilded Horns" by Amanda Joy continues the story of Queen Malik and her journey through a world of magic, politics, and personal growth. While the novel offers a richly imagined fantasy world with complex characters, it struggles with pacing and fully developing its thematic elements. Malik remains a compelling protagonist, grappling with her newfound power and responsibilities as queen. Her internal struggles and growth are well-drawn, making her journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance engaging to follow. The exploration of themes such as identity, heritage, and belonging adds depth to her character.

This was a wonderful follow up to A River of Royal Blood with its imaginative world-building, compelling characters, and engaging continuation of Malik's journey, exploring themes of power, identity, and the complexities of ruling.
