My Review: "Under the Palms" is a thrilling continuation of the Kingsley saga that had me hooked from the very first page. After racing through the first book, I couldn't wait for this sequel, and Kaira Rouda truly delivered. She has cemented her status as an auto-buy author for me, weaving stories rich with secrets, lies, and more backstabbing than a courtroom drama.

What starts as a seemingly innocent family weekend quickly spirals into a tense, suspense-filled ordeal. With this family, you can never be sure of your place—or your safety. Rouda expertly keeps readers on their toes, with twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat the entire time.

The story is fantastic, intricately plotting its way to a jaw-dropping reveal. Though I had my suspicions, the final twist was a surprise I didn't see coming, showcasing Rouda's talent for the unexpected. Fans of "Succession" will particularly enjoy this tale of power, betrayal, and the dark secrets that lie within family dynamics.
