My Review: I fell IN LOVE with the first 60% of this book. It is incredibly slow which did drag the pacing, but the coziness was amazing. Romantic longing, found family, sentient plants, and eccentric side characters, I was in love. HOWEVER, once the side character of Randane came in, this all fell down hill for me. It made it high stakes which is not what I was looking for. Additionally, the Randane problem solved itself by like 75% and so the last quarter of the book was pretty redundant and unnecessary. Definitely a quarter too long. As a cozy fantasy lover, this hit the vibes but then fell flat for me. :(
