My Review: This book that is just shy of 600 pages long was to long and to messy to really be good.  It tossed a bunch of things at you and really just didn't grasp me at all.  And then it ends and is a series.  I think that this story could have been either cut down or just summed up in those almost 600 pages.  The characters were really weird and things just didn't feel like they had rules.  And yes I know this is fantasy but your world still have to have a set of rules it goes by.  You can't be like this person can break out of anything but the Gods can't.  It makes no sense.  So for me this was something that I did finish but I should have DNFed.
