#BookReview: Carved Amidst the Shadows (A Brands of Taelgir Novel #1) by M.T. Fontaine

Synopsis: To be a Marked means to be loyal and protected.

My Review: This one surprised me.  The characters were well rounded and the pacing of this story was wonderful.  The ending was great for the story and I enjoyed every page.  I will say there were parts where I think the characters could have chosen a different path to make things easier but in the long run them taking a different route worked out well for the story as a whole.  I will pick up the next one.

M.T. grew up as that kid whose thoughts always raced faster than what her mouth could spout out. That kid who woke up in the middle of the night to write down ideas and left notes behind for friends and family to find.

She quickly discovered spun stories expressed her emotions far better than the spoken word. The rest was a matter of time, patience, and many deletions.
