The whole town is talking about what's buried beneath the playground...
Windy Bottom, Georgia is usually a peaceful place. Coop helps his mom at her café and bookstore, hangs out with his grandpa, and bikes around with his friends Justice and Liberty. The town is full of all kinds of interesting people, but no one has ever caused a problem. Until now.
And somehow, Gramps is taking all the blame! It seems like there are a lot of secrets that were buried in their small town after all...
Will Coop and his friends get to the bottom of the mystery and clear Gramps's name before it's too late?

My Review: This kids mystery/thriller book was awesome. I liked how the book was a mystery and that the kids found the bones. And the story really took off. I really liked the mystery surrounding the bones that they found at the park. This book was cool because the kids were racing on their bikes and I like to do do that too. The flow of the story worked well. It wasn't too fast so I could follow the mystery and the story really easily. Which I think thats great for kids my age. (I am 9).
The characters were great! I liked Coop which I thought he was a she for part of this story for some reason. oops on my part. Anyway, I really liked Coop because he wanted to go to the park in the middle of the night and I think that would be very excited. His brothers were more level headed though because they really didn't want to go out at night.
This book was both serious and funny and I loved it. It felt really real and I can't wait to read something else by Souders.
