My Review: Country star in hiding falls in love with a small town girl in typical Cinderella fashion. There was a tad ore angst then I usually like but I really enjoyed this story.  It was the perfect read to relax with after a long day.  I thought the story flowed nicely, and I enjoyed watching the relationship between Zane and Jeanette blossom. I also loved how he fell instantly for Jeanette's son as well.  I look forward to reading more of Karen Rose SMith's work.

     I created Zane Gunther in the Montana Mavericks continuity series book FROM DOCTOR...TO DADDY which was released in September 2010. This country singer took the stage with down-home country charm and I knew I'd love to give him his own romance. Fortunately, I was asked to participate in the Montana Mavericks continuity series Here Come The Texans! in 2011 and Zane was my hero. Developing his storyline for HIS COUNTRY CINDERELLA came so easily. I had already fallen in love with him so writing about him flowed naturally. In FROM DOCTOR...TO DADDY I wrote a refrain for a song that Zane used to help his friend Dillon realize what he needed to do in his life. In HIS COUNTRY CINDERELLA I wrote an entire song. It's something I've always considered doing but never accomplished. This book called for it and the lyrics were easy. I hope this book touches your heart the same way it touched mine while I was writing it.

About the Author

Karen Rose Smith was born in Pennsylvania in the Susquehanna Valley. As a teenager, music became as important to her as reading.  The Beatles were her favorite group.  She and her cousin took their first sojourn into writing by collaborating on a script for the MONKEES television program.  They sent that script to every concert venue where the group appeared that summer!  In college, Karen began writing poetry and also met her husband to be.  They both started married life as teachers, but when their son was born, Karen decided to try her hand at a home decorating business.  She returned to teaching for a while but changes in her life led her to writing romance fiction.  Now she writes full time.  Her first romance was published in 1992; her 75th novel will be published in 2012 with Harlequin Special Edition.  A winner of New Jersey's Golden Leaf Award in Short Contemporary Romance, Colorado Romance Writers Award Of  Excellence for short contemporary, as well as the Phoenix Desert Rose Chapter's Golden Quill for Traditional Romance, she has also been honored with Cataromance.com's award for Best Special Edition.
