My Review: I was so excited to get a copy of this title when it came out.  But sadly that excitement was short lived.  This book suffers from the same thing a lot of indie and self pub books suffer from....bad editing.  The book starts out with weird word choices and bad formatting. And it just doesn't get any better.  It reminded me of an episode of Fallout Shelter to start with.  With a girl being left alone in some kind of vault her mother leaves her there and now she's all alone.  So this 13 year old who was left alone is now 18.

The story felt very choppy with leaning about how her mother disappeared and then another girl shows up all of sudden.  I did like the idea of the monsters and yes if you have seen Bird Box and shows of its kind this is totally like those creatures in those movies.

The romance was very odd as very convenient. Parts this story reminded me of another one called Under the Never Sky.  Which was a very good story.  But where that one felt like it knew where it wanted to go and how to get there.  This one felt like it had lost its map.

In the end I am glad that I had the opportunity to check this one out but sadly I think it needed a little more work to be a great story.
