This week was not fun at all!! We decided to go to the beach this past Sunday and well although we did find some shark teeth which was freaking awesome (
see pictures here) we all got sunburned very very bad.
I never thought that the ocean would give me bruises I mean really how hard did those waves hit me?
If you are looking for a fun thing to do here in Florida go to Caspensen (that is prob. spelled horribly wrong) beach and you can sift for shark teeth. All you need is the following.
1. Chairs
the sand there is pretty wet for the most part so make sure to have a few chairs.
2. Umbrellas (coverage)
You do not want to end up with the same sunburn we got. So make sure to have long sleeved water shirts, shorts/pants that can get wet, and water shoes. And anything else that is exposed make sure to ton on that sun screen. Also if your going to sit down in those chairs make sure to have them in at least some shade with a few umbrellas.
3. Food
There isn't any food near by so make sure to have some with you. An ice chest on wheels would be great.
4. Shovel and Shifters
To hunt for shells and teeth make sure to have a shovel to dig in the sand and colanders to sift the sand. The best place to dig is to go towards the waves and when the color changes dig there. You will find some very good sized shells and teeth.
Sleep and Sunburns and well clothes in general just do not mix at all. After we got home and took VERY careful showers it was hell in a hand basket for the rest of the week. Sunburns do not mix well with anything that's touching them. I couldn't even get out of bed without help. And for me and my health issues. I pissed off my muscles so I couldn't even read until Thursday. My arms finally didn't feel like they were dying.
Were hoping to go back and hunt for more shells and teeth in about a week. This coming Sunday we will be sitting at home on the couch and reading.
