About the Author: Writing is about opening your soul and letting your vulnerable side shine through. You have to have a thick outer skin. Being an author is not giving in or giving up and never ever listening to the people who said you couldn't do it. You just do it and never give up on your dreams. I have been kicked down and had the wind knocked out of me but something in me kept me going.
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
My Review: This book had a little bit of everything that you look for in a good story. Romance, mystery, action, adventure, and great characters. I really enjoyed the romance in this one and the fact that it didn't over power the story at large. Sam was a great character she was flawed and totally believable. The pacing of the book was well done. I think I finished this one in just over a few hours. The entire thing was one great ride that I didn't want to end. I can not wait until the next title.
I think this one would be great for fans of the X-Files, Roswell, and other shows where like those.

A tragic experience on a lonely stretch of road alters the life of a young teenage girl in the sensational young adult science fiction novel, From the Sky by Jennie Nicassio. While driving and texting, Samantha Hunter and her twin brother Finn are in a fatal car accident. An unidentified man miraculously saves Sam, but Finn is killed instantly. Still grieving six months later, Sam's mother succumbs to her depression and is laid to rest next to Finn's still fresh grave. During her mother's funeral service, Sam sees a stranger across from her at the cemetery and is curious about him, but he disappears before she can discover his identity. Soon after her mother's funeral, Sam's archaeologist father takes a position with a New Mexico university, and together they leave Pittsburgh and their former lives behind. As Sam adjusts to her new life, she keeps running into the stranger from her mother's funeral. Who is he? Why is he stalking her?
From the Sky by Jennie Nicassio is a thrilling science fiction novel. It has a magnificent plot rife with beings from other worlds and government alien conspiracies. The New Mexico setting with the conspiracy angles surrounding Dulce, Groom Lake, and Area 51 is not only perfect but also educational. I knew about some of the subterfuge and secrets of the region, but was astounded by how much more there was to the rumors. The author has done an exceptional job of incorporating the facts and data of her research into the plot and developing a brilliant novel. This is the first in a series, and I can't wait to read the subsequent otherworldly adventures that Sam experiences. Young adults and older readers who love science fiction novels based on extraterrestrials living among us will find this series a must-read."
