Synopsis:  Santi agreed to join the Bear Canyon Wilderness Therapy Program for one reason: less time in juvie.

Amelia signed up to prove a point. Victor--well, no one can figure out why Victor's on the trip, but he's definitely not out to make friends.

After a mudslide sweeps away other campers, the trio is left stranded in the Colorado wilderness and short on supplies.

They'll have to band together to survive the elements, their demons, and each other.

When a mudslide wipes out multiple members of a wilderness therapy trip, the three remaining teenagers must survive the elements, their demons, and one another.

My Review: This book was so boring and I really didn't are about the characters at all. Their plight was just ugh and the book dragged so much.  Other than the mudslide which I know can happen out of the blue.  Lots of this book was just a little to far fetched for my taste.

"On the Free is a roaring adventure that will make you stand up and cheer." ---Justin Cronin, author of The Passage Trilogy

"On the Free is a fast-moving and gripping survival story, driven by characters as complex and layered as rugged mountain terrain. Studded with secrets and betrayals, sudden tragedies and surprising kindnesses, it's an intense journey through a remarkable landscape, and one where the characters' pasts prove to be bigger obstacles than the steep slopes and deep ravines they must cross." ---Michael Northrop, author of Gentlemen, Trapped, and the TombQuest series

"Thrilling, suspenseful, and fast-paced, this is an on-the-edge-of-your-seat read."

"[A] tone-sensitive treatment of different life experiences make this a positive story for personal growth and positive change."
-Kirkus Reviews

"Outdoorsy teens will appreciate the realistic hiking and camping takeaways . . ." ---School Library Journal
