Crossroad Reviews
This week were talking about Canceled Series. There have been a few seires that I have loved that have gotten canceled so now I am left on a cliffhanger that will never end. So today I ask the question. Do you think publishers should buy a series as a whole and even if it doesn't hit the best sellers list etc that all of the books should be published?
I think a good idea for this would be for that author to write the entire series first so that it could be sold as a whole and then small tweeks could be made if needed.
Another idea would be that each book stands on its own. I understand that a first book in a series is made to set up the world, the situation, and the characters. But why not sum most of it all up at the end. So that even if it ends on a cliffhanger of a sort it could still stand on its own two feet. So if the series is canceled the sting won't be as bad.
What say you? Let us know in the comments what you think about series and them being canceled.
