Synopsis:  "A line that should never be crossed is about to be breached.

It puts this entire castle in jeopardy—and the life of your friend."

From the throne of glass rules a king with a fist of iron and a soul as black as pitch. Assassin Celaena Sardothien won a brutal contest to become his Champion. Yet Celaena is far from loyal to the crown. She hides her secret vigilantly; she knows that the man she serves is bent on evil.

Keeping up the deadly charade becomes increasingly difficult when Celaena realizes she is not the only one seeking justice. As she tries to untangle the mysteries buried deep within the glass castle, her closest relationships suffer. It seems no one is above questioning her allegiances—not the Crown Prince Dorian; not Chaol, the Captain of the Guard; not even her best friend, Nehemia, a foreign princess with a rebel heart.

Then one terrible night, the secrets they have all been keeping lead to an unspeakable tragedy. As Celaena's world shatters, she will be forced to give up the very thing most precious to her and decide once and for all where her true loyalties lie... and whom she is ultimately willing to fight for.

My Review: As I said with book one I have read this one before but I almost pretty much didn't remember much of anything that had happened. Highlight for spoiler question!* I do remember having one question that in the start of this I swore that she took the captain of the guard down to the sewer into that tunnel in her room. But then he comes with the prince when she opens that portal.  So which is it? I really need to go back and look at the start of this one to find out becuase that is bugging the crap out of me.  If you know the answer to this please let me know!! *

Ok so this one we find that Celaena is now the King's Champion and is killing off anyone that the King asks her to. Or I guess comands her to. I really liked this one as we get a few suprises and twists.  I think that if you are really paying attention to the story that the main twist in this one is seen a mile away. Its REALLY hinted at and if you really think about it its kind of screaming at you to see me!!  But I still really enjoyed it even with already knowing what the big reveal was.

This one has all the feels and I loved every second of it.  The world is fully formed and so are the characters.  I loved how Celaena made mistakes and that she wasn't all vain like she was in the bind up of novellas or even as much as the first book itself.

I am excited to dive into the next title as I do not remember where I left off when I first read these.

If you loved book one you will love this one as well.  I am kind of scattered brained at the moment and really just do not know what to put into this review.  This one had a lot of action a lot of heartbreak and a lot of running from creepy scary monsters!
