#Discussions: Books that should get a second chance at adaptations!

Have you ever went to watch a movie or tv show of your favriote book only to wonder what in the world had they done to it?  Well here are four books that I think should get second and one that will be getting a third chance!  What are your thoughts let us know in the comments below! 

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

If you didn't know City of Bones has gotten two chances.  The first was a horrible movie where they down graded the rating to more of a middle school story and added a lot of goofy things that just didn't need to be there.  They made Valentine look like some goth reject and well it just didn't work out at all.  The second chance came with Freeform picked up the seires for TV called Shadowhunters. Where once again things were changed and not for the better.  This time around they aged the characters from 16 to 18 and added an entirely new rune that never even excisted. Some parts of this show were great but for the most part it was another failed attempt for this amazing series!

So what do I want from this as a third chance?  I would love to see this picked up by the CW, Netflix, or even a primium channel like Starz. I mean look at what they have done with Outlander!  It is by far the best adaption out there to date in my eyes.  Yes things were changed BUT they were changed for the better!!  So what would you like to see in the world of Shadowhunters?

I am Number Four by Pittacus Lore

I am one of the few who loved the movie and the book.  This one had sat on my TBR shelf for sometime and I finally picked it up.  Although a few things were changed I think they did very well with the movie.  But it didn't do very well at the box office so we never got more.  I think this one would be another great title to be a seires for TV versus a movie just so that they could take the right time to make it amazing.  I think Netflix could do this one justice!  What do you think?

Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

For this one we got a movie that bombed they changed a ton of stuff in this one.  I am one of the people who actually loved the movie but hated the books.  I would love to see this one as another movie or even as a tv show or mini series.  They could cut out a lot of the filler that the book had and give it all to us in a 10 part mini series!

The Lightning Theif by Rick Riordan

This is another one that got not one but two movies from the books made. However, the second movie flopped.  I did love both of them and loved the changes that were made. But I think this one would be a great one for a kids tv series on Netflix or TV.  Maybe something for ABC family to pick up.  It could be something to get kids watching and reading!
