About the Author: Sara Raasch has known she was destined for bookish things since the age of five, when her friends had a lemonade stand and she tagged along to sell her hand-drawn picture books too. Not much has changed since then — her friends still cock concerned eyebrows when she attempts to draw things and her enthusiasm for the written word still drives her to extreme measures. Her debut YA fantasy, SNOW LIKE ASHES, the first in a trilogy, came out October 14, 2014 from Balzer + Bray. It does not feature her hand-drawn pictures.

My Review: I can't believe it took me so long to read this! This book was an amazing novel which I will not be forgetting for a long time. I was a little overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information in this book. There is just so much to remember. There were moments where I was unsure on where the story was going but I can assure you that these moments were soon followed by lots surprises and amazement. Meira was such a fabulous main character. Her awesomeness was so exciting! I was literally cheering her on through the whole book. I really enjoyed her love interest, Theron. He is exactly my kind of prince. I can’t wait to read the second installment because I can’t wait to see what happens next!!!

Do I Recommend this book? Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!!
