Margaret Peterson Haddix is the author of many critically and popularly acclaimed YA and middle grade novels, including the Children of Exile series, The Missing series, the Under Their Skin series, and the Shadow Children series. A graduate of Miami University (of Ohio), she worked for several years as a reporter for The Indianapolis News. She also taught at the Danville (Illinois) Area Community College. Notes and Opinions: I really wanted to love this one but sadly it just wasn't for me. I think this might be the last book that I try from this author as it seems that a lot of her titles just don't work for me at all.  This one started out really well I really wanted to love the girls but they both just irritated me. Their situation and the pacing and the story set in summer was perfect though. It would have been a great beach read.  The twists were good but there was just too much that didn't work for me at all.  If you are a fan of Mean Girls and shows like that you might enjoy this one much more than I did.
