#BookReview: Love Hate & Us by S. P. West

We grew up thinking that our future was set in stone.

Brooke never imagined a life away from Emmerton. She never pictured a life without her childhood sweetheart, Brody. But when Brody does the unthinkable Brooke’s world is turned upside down. Unable to watch as Brody moves on with his life, she decides to start afresh. 

Unfortunately, leaving her past behind is not a easy as she thought, especially when her past wants her back.

S.P. West is a British author who lives with her husband, daughter and two cats in a house by the sea.

She has written two novels Life Without You and Love, Hate & Us.

I really liked Brody and Brooke at the start of this book but shortly into the story I just started hating Brody with a passion and I can't help but think what was going through Brooke's mind by the end of this one. I would not have taken him back after what he did. I won't go into the spoilers but it was WAY BAD!  At that point I just couldn't get over what he did and it really ruined this story for me.  I wish that it would have ended with Brooke being strong on her own because, sometimes that is what you need to do.  It would have given this book a wonderful message and make Brooke a very empowering heroine. Unfortunately that is not what happened and it gives this story the message of having to stay in a bad situation with a man that well plainly sucks. So for me this one just wasn't for me and it had some major issues.  Other than that this one was pretty good I have to say that it flowed well, the characters were fully formed, and the world that the author has created worked well.  It was just the story's choices that I didn't like.
