  The day Anne Tinning turns seventeen, birds fall from the sky. But that's hardly the most upsetting news. She's being dismissed from the home she's served at since she was a child, and shipped off to become the newly hired parlor maid for a place she's never heard of. When a fire leaves Anne trapped in the manor with its Master, she finally demands to know why. But as she forces the truth about what haunts the grounds from Lord Grey, she learns secrets she isn't prepared for. The creature is very real, and she's the only one who can help him stop it. 

Now, Anne must either risk her life for the young man she's grown to admire, or abandon her post while she still can.

Born in the small country of Uruguay in South America, I have somehow made Miami my home. I am a classical singer who spends lots of time either practicing stratospheric high notes, reading about impossible Gothic romances, or writing about impossible Gothic romances.

I also watch over a veritable army of pets, which include five cuddly snakes, (yes, cuddly) and my mynah bird, Loki.

You can find a large number of my poems in different literary magazines, such as Popshot and Penumbra, among others. I have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and the Best of the Net prize.

My debut novel, The Rose Master, has been called a “strong, satisfying effort” by Publishers Weekly.

This was such a quick and fantastic creepy little read! I finished The Rose Master within a day! By the end I just wanted to read more about the plot and the characters! The writing in this book is absolutely fantastic and the characters are so enjoyable to read about! Overall this is a great book!
