Coincidences are the Art of Magick

Merry Meet!

As you may know I am just now getting back in touch with my path.  I took a few years off to deal with other things.  And at the time I really didn't have a healthy connection with the deities. My path was turing out to be more of what I wanted vs. celebrating what the god and goddess gave me.  So now 4-5 long years later.  The path has found me again.  And I am more ready than ever to start over.

Just so you know these posts have been posted before on my other site.  Im just reposting them here.

The group that found me is currently making its way through The Inner Temple of Witchcraft by Christopher Penczak.  And I have to say that this is a pretty good book. (Listed below)

One of the things talked about in this book is Real Magick vs. Movie Magic.  And at the time I didn't think much of it.  But after going home, going to bed, waking up this morning I started going through my datebook to add the meetings.  And what do I find?  Non other than a passage about The Original Octopus.  Now you may not think that is neat.  But here is why I do.  Yesterday I went to a store called Plato's they sell tons of clothes etc.  And I found this bronze looking ring that looked very interesting. (picture below) And when I got to the car I noticed that it was.......wait for it...........
YEP you guessed it.  An Octopus! Coincidence? I think not!

One of my main beliefs is there is no such thing as coincidence. Everything happens for a reason!  And it fills me with joy to know that the deities and powers that be have not turned their back on me as I had done to them.  And I welcome this new chapter of my life with open arms.  And hope that I grow and fulfill my purpose in this life.

My Question to you is have you ever had anything like this happen?
And
What do you think about Coincidences?

In this Post we talked about!

The Inner Temple of Witchcraft by Christopher Penczak

 March 1, 2013
Explore your Inner Temple--your personal sacred space where there are no boundaries and all things are possible. With study, dedication, and practice, the lessons and exercises in this book will empower you to transform the repetitive rigors of the daily grind into a witch's web of magickal experiences.

The Inner Temple of Witchcraft is a thorough course of education, introspection, meditation, and the development of the magickal and psychic abilities that are the birthright of the witch. Four introductory chapters present the history, traditions, and principles of witchcraft, followed by thirteen lessons that start with basic meditation techniques and culminate in a self-initiation ceremony equivalent to the first-degree level of traditional coven-based witchcraft.

As you progress through this year-and-a-day course of study, you will explore a wide range of topics that support and inform the dedicated witch:

- Ancient and modern magickal philosophy
- Modern scientific theories supporting a new definition of reality
- "Instant" magick  techniques for protection, healing, and serenity
- Energy work and anatomy, including chakras and auras
- Astral travel, dreams, and spirit guides
- Healing techniques for body, mind, and spirit

This book's non-dogmatic presentation encourages an eclectic, personal approach while providing a strong foundation for the practice of witchcraft and magick. Develop your psychic abilities and practice potent magickal techniques as you explore the source of every witch's power--the temple within.

The Original Octopus by Lupa

The ocean is full of creatures we may think of as 'alien,' and the octopus is one truly strange example. Yet we recognize ourselves in them- they're among the most intelligent invertebrates, with keen problem solving skills, and their camouflage abilities are a source of wonder.
While some people only ever meet octopi as calamari, scuba divers and those who've watched them in aquariums get to see how graceful they are in their watery homes. In the ocean, we are the intruders, and that out-of-place feeling can be unsettling. But octopi can thrive in human-dominated spaces.  Though the natural lifespan of octopi is only a few years, they adapt quickly to their captivity. They're notorious escape artists, and have learned how to pen jars, bottle, and even other animals' tanks to get food.
This adaptability is a good model for us. According to Hawaiian mythology, octopi were the only survivors from the previous world, and scientifically speaking the first octopi appeared hundreds of millions of years ago.  We can learn from the curiosity and creativity of the octopi when faced with our won challenges, and live just as well as they have.
