#Review #Giveaway of Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty #Thanks @Flatironbooks via #BEA16

Six responsible adults. Three cute kids. One small dog. It’s just a normal weekend. What could possibly go wrong?

Sam and Clementine have a wonderful, albeit, busy life: they have two little girls, Sam has just started a new dream job, and Clementine, a cellist, is busy preparing for the audition of a lifetime. If there’s anything they can count on, it’s each other.

Clementine and Erika are each other’s oldest friends. A single look between them can convey an entire conversation. But theirs is a complicated relationship, so when Erika mentions a last minute invitation to a barbecue with her neighbors, Tiffany and Vid, Clementine and Sam don’t hesitate. Having Tiffany and Vid’s larger than life personalities there will be a welcome respite.

Two months later, it won’t stop raining, and Clementine and Sam can’t stop asking themselves the question: What if we hadn’t gone?

In Truly Madly Guilty, Liane Moriarty takes on the foundations of our lives: marriage, sex, parenthood, and friendship. She shows how guilt can expose the fault lines in the most seemingly strong relationships, how what we don’t say can be more powerful than what we do, and how sometimes it is the most innocent of moments that can do the greatest harm.

LIANE MORIARTY is the author of the #1 New York Times bestsellers Big Little Lies and The Husband's Secret, as well as the New York Times bestseller What Alice Forgot and The Hypnotist's Love Story. She lives in Sydney, Australia, with her husband and two children.

This one you will have to have some patience and spend some time with it.  The story starts out as an ordinary day at a BBQ in an unordinary backyard.  You know that there are three couples and three kids who are there AND you know that something happened.  But you don't know what!!!

We get back stories of all the characters which the author did a fabulous job with.  It wasnt boring or anything.  It kept the story moving and I was ingrained in the lives of each character as each story was told.  This book has so much in it.  From a troubled marriage to an upcoming audition to hoarding and more!  Its a great all around book and I think that these stories are what made this book so good.  The stories flow right along without stopping.

The ending once you find out what happened was a slight let down I was waiting for some GIANT thing like the world ended or aliens invaded but it was still very good.

If you like fiction I would def. pick this one up.
