You will SWOON! In the best way with @juliebuxbaum Debut Book Tell Me Three Things Check out our {Review & Giveaway} Thanks #FirstInLine

What if the person you need the most is someone you’ve never met?

Julie Buxbaum mixes comedy and tragedy, love and loss, pain and elation, in her debut YA novel whose characters will come to feel like friends. Tell Me Three Things will appeal to fans of Rainbow Rowell, Jennifer Niven, and E. Lockhart.

Everything about Jessie is wrong. At least, that’s what it feels like during her first week at her new ultra-intimidating prep school in Los Angeles. Just when she’s thinking about hightailing it back to Chicago—the closest place she has to something like home—she gets an email from a person calling themselves Somebody/Nobody (SN for short), offering to help her navigate the wilds of Wood Valley High School. Is it an elaborate hoax? Or can she rely on SN for some much-needed help?

The thing is, Jessie does need help. It’s been barely two years since her mother’s death, and because her father eloped with a woman he met online, Jessie has been forced to move across the country to live in LA with her stepmonster and her pretentious teenage son.

In a leap of faith—or an act of complete desperation—Jessie begins to rely on SN, and SN quickly becomes her lifeline and closest ally. Jessie can’t help wanting to meet SN in person. But are some mysteries better left unsolved?

"Three Things about this novel: 1. I loved it. 2. No, really, I LOVED it. 3. I wish I could tell every teen to read it. Buxbaum's book sounds, reads, breathes, worries, and soars like real adolescents do." - Jodi Picoult, NYT bestselling author of LEAVING TIME and OFF THE PAGE.
1. JULIE BUXBAUM is the author of the critically acclaimed The Opposite of Love and After You, and her work has been translated into twenty-five languages. Tell Me Three Things is her first novel for young adults. 2. SWOON! In the best way!  This book was amazing I read it in one setting and so glad that I decided to read it.  I was going to send this to one of my co bloggers to read and well I'm so happy that I changed my mine because this book was the BOMB!  Now I know this is going to suck!  This book isn't out until April so your just going to have to wait for a little bit before you can get your hands on it to devour it!  Of course you can also enter my giveaway!

So this one deals with how to get over a loss how to move on after a loss.  I can't get into to much since I don't want to give anything away but omg this book is filled with humor, laugh out loud snorts and well just yummies!  In a hip non-cuties way.  I really wish that the cover would have been a little more grudge etc but the waffles are cute.  Those match the story well but the cuteness of it just doesnt.

So this one opens with the MC Jessie telling us about how she counts the time since her mom died.  Which is very very sad!  The start of this book we also find out that the author lost her mom at a young age as well and that its taken her this long to write about it.  (note to author:  Your mom would be so proud of you and this book!)

We also find out that she has started getting emails from some guy at least she hopes its a guy. Who calls himself Somebody Nobody or SN for short.  They exchange emails then IMs through most of the book but never fear you WILL!!!! find out who he is at the end.  I didnt guess at all which was awesome.  I had an on going list of people I thought he could be then kept scratching it out and then adding people back. It was wicked!

The romance in this all through the IMs was fab!  Light and wonderful new first love.

This book is also about new families. As Jessies dad met someone online got married then moved them all the way to LA. Going from being middle class to moving into a house where you have someone who can do everything for you from cooking to laundry is weird!  Jessie doesnt even feel like part of the family.  She felt like she was pretty much just kinda renting a room.  I love how this changes over the course of the story.

You will fall in love with Tell Me Three Things I know I did.  And just so you know parts of this are in the format of Emails and IMs but don't I mean DONT! let that stop you from reading this book!  I hate books in poem form etc but this one works so well!

Teens will love the snarky attitude of this book
Adults will love the feeling of first love again
