Biography

A.G. Howard was inspired to write SPLINTERED while working at a school library. She always wondered what would've happened had the subtle creepiness of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland taken center stage, and she hopes her darker and funkier tribute to Carroll will inspire readers to seek out the stories that won her heart as a child.

When she's not writing, A.G.'s pastimes are reading, rollerblading, gardening, and family vacations which often include impromptu side trips to 18th century graveyards or condemned schoolhouses to appease her overactive muse.

It took me some time to get to this book.  Which sucked!  I had two count em TWO ARCs of this one back when it first came out.  And I ended up giving them both away because I was so swamped with books at that time.  Well I finally finished it and I have to say I was missing out!  Book one was so good can't wait to read book two and three.  Although I have to say that this one works out as a stand alone.  So I am deff. overjoyed that its a series!  

So the world building I LOVED how the author took the old story of Alice in Wonderland and made it FREAKING CREEPY AS H***!!  I loved how it twisted and turned the story on its head and took the old story and made it new.  All the world changing she did worked out so well!  

The characters were great to!  I LOVED everyone!  I don't think I've ever said that!  Al was an awesome heroine and she really grows in this book.  Becoming, someone who doesn't need someone else to save her.  Which was great.  It felt genuine. 

Jeb was also a great character and I really hope that he finds out what happened.  He was sexy and well a little over bearing but it was all good.  He did kind of rub me like an older brother than a love interest but, well have to see how that changes in book two and three. 

Morpheus was also great.  You never really know if is evil or not until the every end.  He was VERY SEXY!! And well All over the place but in a good way.  

I really can't wait for book two!
