BOOKEXPO AMERICA (BEA) ANNOUNCES STAR-STUDDED CHILDREN’S AUTHOR BREAKFAST LINE-UP FEATURING INDUSTRY‘S LEADING VOICES
Golden Globe Winner and New York Times Bestselling Author Jamie Lee Curtis to Serve as Master of Ceremonies and be Joined by Bestsellers Sabaa Tahir, Gene Luen Yang and Dav Pilkey for Insightful Discussion about Children’s Literature
Norwalk, CT, December 17, 2015: Some of the hottest stars in children’s publishing will convene at BookExpo America (BEA) to take part in the much anticipated Children's Author Breakfast on Friday, May 13. Golden Globe award winner Jamie Lee Curtis will bring her creative versatility and charisma to the BEA stage as Master of Ceremonies to talk about her new children's book, which is being published in the fall of 2016. She will be joined by noted authors Sabaa Tahir (An Ember in the Ashes), Gene Luen Yang (American Born Chinese) and Dav Pilkey (Captain Underpants), all of whom will also speak about their upcoming books and the inspiration behind their works. Tahir and Yang will also participate at the consumer facing BookCon on May 14. The Children's Author Breakfast is a highlight of BEA activity and attracts well over 1,000 attendees including booksellers, members of the media, and other book industry professionals.
The addition of this programming further establishes Chicago as the ultimate destination for publishing this May. The BEA Children’s Author Breakfast will kick off the final day of the three-day convention. It is one of many events at BEA that will highlight the hundreds of authors who regularly participate in the show.

· Gene Luen Yang, author of American Born Chinese (First Second Books) and the forthcoming Secret Coders: Secrets & Sequences.

· Jamie Lee Curtis, author of My Brave Year of Firsts (HarperCollins) and the forthcoming This Is Me: A Story of Who We Are and Where We Came from(Workman) will be the Master of Ceremonies.
