Royally Lost by @angie_stanton #Review

Dragged on a family trip to Europe’s ancient cities, Becca wants nothing more than to go home. Trapped with her emotionally distant father, over-eager stepmother, and a brother who only wants to hook up with European hotties, Becca is miserable. That is until she meets Nikolai, a guy as mysterious as he is handsome. And she unknowingly finds herself with a runaway prince.

Nikolai has everything a guy could ask for-he's crown prince, heir to the throne, and girls adore him. But the one thing he doesn't have...is freedom. Staging a coup, he flees his kingdom and goes undercover on his own European tour.

When Nikolai and Becca meet, it’s their differences that draw them together. Sparks fly as they share a whirlwind of adventures, all the while dodging his royal guard. But Becca's family vacation ends in a matter of days. Will Nikolai and Becca be forced to say goodbye forever, will his destiny catch up to him, or will they change history forever?

Angie Stanton never planned on writing books—she wanted to be a Rockette. However, growing up in rural America with her brothers' 4-H pigs as pets, she found that dance didn't quite work out. Instead, she became an avid daydreamer. After years of perfecting stories in her head, she began to write them down, and the rest is history. When not writing, she loves watching natural disaster movies, going to Broadway musicals, and dipping French fries in chocolate shakes. She lives in Madison, Wisconsin.

This book was amazing!  It reminded me of Romeo and Juliet and the movie The Prince and Me. It was a prefect blend of star crossed lovers, fate and true love. If your looking for a light read to up lift your spirits then def. check this one out.  I really hope that we get to revisit these characters in the future. I loved the fact that although this is a teen book the characters were 18 and just out of high school.  It made the book seen fresh and new.

Both characters have to go through so much in this book. You have Becca who is getting ready to go to a collage she doesnt want to go to. She has to deal that her father hasn't been the same since her mom died. As well as dealing with her step mom who just wants them all to be a family.

Then on the other side you have Nickoli who is being forced to join the military to one day become king of a country that is no longer ruled by one.  He has wonderful ideas to bring their family from the dark ages into the 21st century. But of course no one will listen to him.

Both characters deal with growing and learning to not take their families crap anymore.  Just because you love them and don't want to hurt them.  Doesnt mean you have to do everything they expect you do you.  You shouldnt let them rule your life. Its a great message for all teens and adults alike.  Follow your heart, make mistakes, and learn from your choices.  You might make bad ones, you might make good ones. But regardless you will need to learn from both.
