Determined to overcome a difficult past, Erica Hathaway learns early on how to make it on her own. Days after her college graduation she finds herself face to face with a panel of investors who will make or break her fledgling startup. The only thing she didn't prepare for was going weak in the knees over an arrogant and gorgeous investor who's seemingly determined to derail her presentation.
Billionaire and rumored hacker Blake Landon has already made his fortune in software, and he's used to getting what he wants with very little resistance. Captivated by Erica's drive and unassuming beauty, he's wanted nothing more since she stepped into his boardroom. Determined to win her over, he breaks down her defenses and fights for her trust, even if that means sacrificing a level of control he's grown accustomed to.
But when Blake uncovers a dark secret from Erica's past, he threatens not just her trust, but the life she's fought so hard to create.

So so the similarities to 50 Shades a side. This book was worth the read if this is your thing. It had some great points was slow and kinda all over the place in others. But it was still worth the read.
So stage left we have a struggling, fashionable damsel in destress. She is a graduate of an Ivy League school and well she isn't rich. So she needs some help. Que stage right the hot in control Blake who is super rich, powerful and well of course wants Erica.
Ok are we noticing a theme here? College graduate and then the sexy in control of everything billionaire? Ya me to. But as I said above. This is where the similarities end.
Erica is not a sub in any way! She knows what she wants and is out spoken about it. She is a little bit flighty but its just a little so don't worry.
The story is fast paced and although I myself didn't like some of the word usage as it takes away from things feeling real. It was still worth it.
Below are the things I had issues with lol.
Do people really talk like this?
sorry with all the *** trying to keep this pg. lol
"You were right. I'm going to make you want things you never knew you wanted." "You're going to want me to hold you down and f*** you hard. To take control of your body." "You want it right now, don't you?"
"I love it down here, baby... I could l*** your sweet little c*** all day long."
"All opinions are 100% honest and my own."
