4 Star #Review of Savannah Grey by Cliff McNish

15-year-old Savannah Grey has never felt she's belonged. She keeps her distance, so she's surprised by her attraction to the new boy Reece. Then strange things begin to happen: nature, it seems, is exerting an overpowering force on the world. Birds behave strangely; gusts of wind blow leaves so fiercely they seem to lure people away. And Savannah learns she has supernatural powers. Nature has a purpose for Savannah and her friends. They are on course to meet the vile and evil Orcrassa, who wants to destroy the world by corrupting nature and it wants Savannah Grey to help realize its savage intent.
 About the Author

Written when he was almost forty, Cliff McNish's Doomspell Trilogy won him an instant and avid readership and has been published in 19 languages around the world. Since then, he has continued to write fiction, including The Silver Sequence, Breathe, and Angel, and has been hailed as a "great new voice in writing for children" (The Bookseller). Mr. McNish was born in northeastern England. He enjoys playing golf, walking up mountains, and eating as much hot and spicy food as possible. He is married and has a teenage daughter, whose demand for a scary story lead to the idea for his first book.

Ok so where do I start with this one?  At first I was thinking that I wasn't going to like it but then I ended up reading it all at once.  Its pretty short so that was good.  It doesn't have any kind of epilogue which sucked.  And I don't think I will ever read it again.  But it was still worth reading.  I found this a the library's store here in Orlando.

Ok so in this one monsters is the key word for this book.  It alternates in chapters from Savannah's POV and that of the creation of the Orcrassa.  Which really worked out.  There isn't any world building as they are in a normal world so all the building is about what Savannah is as well as that of the creatures.  This is a really hard book to review.  The story itself is full of twists, turns, and an O CRAP I didnt see that coming part.

In the end if you like the creepies, want a fast read, then this is for you.
