@EgmontUSA #Review & #Giveaway #Week The Demon Catchers of Milan (The Demon Catchers of Milan #1) by @KatBeyerwrites

Mia's ordinary life is disrupted in the most horrifying way possible when she is possessed by a hungry and powerful demon--and only saved by the arrival of relatives from Italy, the country her grandfather fled many decades ago. Now her cousins Emilio and Giuliano say the only way to keep her safe is for her to come back with them to Milan, to live, to learn Italian, to fall in and out of love, and to master the family trade: fighting all demons with the lore of bell, book, and candle. Milan is not what Mia expected, but it will change her forever, in this stunningly well-written novel about an American girl who, fleeing an ancient evil, finds her only salvation in her ancestral home.

 About the Author
Kat Beyer has an M.A. in medieval history and has loved all things Italian for as long as she can remember. Her first novel was The Demon Catchers of Milan. She lives with her daughter in Madison, Wisconsin. Visit her online at http://www.katspaw.com/blog/.

I really loved the story in this book.  Girl gets possessed by demon and then gets saved by estranged family members who whisk her away to Milan. I really did love parts of this story, but felt that in the middle it kinda lost its way.  The many family members that I had to keep track of were very hard.  Even with the chart that is given in the front of the book. I found myself wondering who was who a lot of the time.  So I pretty much just kinda read and ignored the other characters a bit.  The only other thing was that I really wonder what this story was about.  I thought it was about Mia being possessed then learning how to get rid of demons and to keep herself safe.  But, most of the book was her being stuck in the house and by the end of the book the demon was still on the loose and we really don't get as much information as you should have.

So although I really did like the plot and I will be reading book two (review to post tomorrow)
this demon possession book is a flat 3 for me. If you think you will like it check it out.
