#Review of Wickedly Dangerous (Baba Yaga #1) by Deborah Blake #thanks @NightOwlReviews #giveaway

Known as the wicked witch of Russian fairy tales, Baba Yaga is not one woman, but rather a title carried by a chosen few. They keep the balance of nature and guard the borders of our world, but don’t make the mistake of crossing one of them…

Older than she looks and powerful beyond measure, Barbara Yager no longer has much in common with the mortal life she left behind long ago. Posing as an herbalist and researcher, she travels the country with her faithful (mostly) dragon-turned-dog in an enchanted Airstream, fulfilling her duties as a Baba Yaga and avoiding any possibility of human attachment.

But when she is summoned by a woman desperate to find her missing child, Barbara suddenly finds herself caught up in a web of deceit and an unexpected attraction to the charming but frustrating Sheriff Liam McClellan.

Now, as Barbara fights both human enemies and Otherworld creatures to save the lives of three innocent children, she discovers that her most difficult battle may be with her own heart…

My Review-5 Stars-Must Read

I was so happy to get this book.  I was hoping that my ARC would have had the amazing cover shown above but alas it wasn't meant to be.  :( But, even with the purple cover that I got this book was amazing!  The author takes us to Russia and tells us a great story of the legend of a witch called Baba Yaga.  But it doesn't stop there.  This book is set in our world.  This kind of reminded me of that movie that is out called Hansel and Gretel.  Where they go around saving towns from witches.  Well in this one its Baba Yaga that does the saving.  She is called in to help a town here kids had gone missing.  I loved the play on the names in this book as Baba is called Barabra.  It was a great theme of bringing the character into our world fully.  This book has it all!  Tons of fantasy, a dragon pretending to be a dog (I want one), great characters, and of course swoony romance.  This is deff a book to pick up when it comes out later this year.  I know I will be stalking the author.  You can win my copy of this one by commenting with your email below.  US only please.

Go Into This One Knowing

This one reads as a series.  So the ending was a little fast.  So make sure you understand that the ending is tied up very fast and not all questions are answered.

Ps so happy to find out that this author is an author of a ton of pagan/wiccan books ooooooo yummy!
