Charlotte Westing has a gift. She is an Oracle and has the ability to tell the future. But it doesn't do her much good. Instead of using their miraculous power, modern-day Oracles are told to fight their visions—to refrain from interfering. And Charlotte knows the price of breaking the rules. She sees it every day in her wheelchair-bound mother and the absence of her father. But when a premonition of a classmate's death is too strong for her to ignore, Charlotte is forced to make an impossible decision: continue following the rules or risk everything—even her sanity—to stop the serial killer who is stalking her town.

My Review 5 Future Stars
This one is the flip side of the story as where in Ask Me the main character was all for helping those she would get a vision or prophecy of. In Sleep No More Oracles have taken themselves out of the world. They ignore the visions and don't change the future at any cost. Their motto being Never Surrender, Never Give Up, and Dont Close Your Eyes. So when Charlotte gets a very powerful vision of someones death she is torn between doing something vs doing what she has been told. She tried to change the future when she was 6 and her father ended up dying instead of her aunt.
This story has a very strong lead character. Charlotte is such a strong girl she really grows into her own in this story and I can't wait to see where Pike takes us in the next book. The world building was wonderful! Set in our world but also in the supernatural it is a scene that will take your breath away.
This story has no love triangle as well as no cliffhanger (yay) It wraps everything up pretty well at the end so it could work as a stand alone too. I really wonder what book two is going to be about.
This one is a deff must read in my mind. It was a great fast paced story that will keep you wondering who the killer is. I really didnt like her aunt. I am a firm believer in the fact that if there are creepies out there etc. That everyone would fair better knowing what they are up against vs. being in the dark. Which I really hope plays a part in book two.
The about this book states that this is Inception and the Wake trilogy. Now I havent read the Wake books but I've seen Inception and I can't put two and two together. So I don't think that is a very good description.
This is deff a darker story of a teen who needs to decide her own fate. Will she go with what she has been told or will she choose her own path and forge ahead? Only time will tell in this gripping supernatural murder mystery!
