#Review & #Giveaway of Chantress by @AB_Greenfield #Published @simonteen

Lucy, shipwrecked on an island at 8, is forbidden to sing by guardian Norrie. On All Hallows Eve 1667, at 15, she sings, and is swept into darkness. She wakes to hear powerful men hunt Chantresses who sing magic into the world. At the Invisible College she finds sanctuary, plots to overthrow the evil Lord Protector, and distrustful scientist-apprentice Nat. Only a Chantress can overcome the Protector, and Lucy is the last in England.

Amy Butler Greenfield
Amy Butler Greenfield was a history grad student when she gave into temptation and became a writer. Since then she's become an award-winning author.

Amy grew up in the Adirondack Mountains and later studied history at Williams College, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Oxford. She now lives with her family in England, where she writes, plots mischief, and bakes double-dark-chocolate cake.

Chantress is a wonderful light fantasy for the lower to middle teen crowd.  The author did a wonderful job creating a world set in the late 1600s England.  The world will drawl you into a wonderful creepy world full of mystical creatures and evil rulers, and stunning heroes.  I really can't wait to read book two.

The characters in this story were so wonderful.  Both the main and side characters made the story come alive. This is one new series that shouldn't be missed.
