{Review} Dance of the Red Death

Dance of the Red Death (Masque of the Red Death, #2)Bethany Griffin continues the journey of Araby Worth in Dance of the Red Death—the sequel to her teen novel Masque of the Red Death.

In Dance of the Red Death, Araby’s world is in shambles—betrayal, death, disease, and evil forces surround her. She has no one to trust. But she finds herself and discovers that she will fight for the people she loves, and for her city.

Her revenge will take place at the menacing masked ball, though it could destroy her and everyone she loves…or it could turn her into a hero.

With a nod to Edgar Allan Poe, Bethany Griffin concludes her tragic and mysterious Red Death series with a heroine that young adult readers will never forget.

Bethany Griffin

Bethany Griffin teaches high school English and creative writing.

Bethany Griffin has always admired Edgar Allan Poe's short stories. "The Masque of the Red Death," which this novel reimagines, is one of her favorites.
"I've always loved the amazing atmosphere Poe creates," she says. "But ‘The Masque of the Red Death' is one of his shortest stories. I wanted to know more. I wanted characters and their stories within the context of this devastating plague. And that's where this story originated." Bethany Griffin lives with her family in Kentucky.

Well this one took me about a day to get through.  Although it has some very slight issues in the middle.  I did enjoy it and will be purchasing a copy when it comes out.  I loved the ending and the fact that this was a two book series.  The author tied up most of the loose ends from
book one and gave us a very nice ending.  I think if she wanted she could come back and continue the story with no issues. I will also be downloading the copy of Edar Poe's book of the same title.  So this one is a solid three for me and as for the series together I would give it a 3.5 as it was a good read but not something that I would rave that is a must read!
"*I received a copy of this book for free to review, this in no way influenced my review, all opinions are 100% honest and my own."

I feel like I might want to rad this, but at the same time, I might not like it.
