Shadowlands By: Kate Brian

My Review: 4 Stars

Ok once you get I to this book you will not want to stop reading it.........you have been warned!

I was very upset about the chapter titled DONE. Thinking that her entire family has been killed then finding out it was just a dream/nightmare was crazy!  I was thinking to myself. This author didn't do her homework. If you are going into the witness protection program. The officers don't just give you a car THEY PARK IN THE DRIVEAWAY then tell you o the car has a map for ya. And leave you be. NO. They take you to a secure location then transfer you to where you are going.  This is one of the major issues I had with this book and it looses a star because of it.

2nd they search your stuff!  So the ipad she took. Ya that wouldn't fly. They might let her keep the pic of her and her mom but just the pic and not the frame. As you never know where tracking devices might be.

And the last thing so far. Is when they leave and the baddie Mr. Nell it seems has been hiding at their house pretending to be a police officer. Now you can't tell me convisingly enough that someone like Messenger is just going to let all the cops hang around with out knowing them all!! By face and name!!  She just doesn't seem like that kind of person or FBI agent.
But even with all of that (which is all in the beginning of the book)  this is a must read!  Pick it up and read it you wont be disappointed!
This book ends on such a note that I sat there thinking WHAT?! This is a must read!!

Rory Miller had one chance to fight back and she took it.  Rory survived … and the serial killer who attacked her escaped. Now that the infamous Steven Nell is on the loose, Rory must enter the witness protection with her father and sister, Darcy, leaving their friends and family without so much as a goodbye.

Starting over in a new town with only each other is unimaginable for Rory and Darcy. They were inseparable as children, but now they can barely stand each other. As the sisters settle in to Juniper Landing, a picturesque vacation island, it seems like their new home may be just the fresh start they need. They fall in with a group of beautiful, carefree teens and spend their days surfing, partying on the beach, and hiking into endless sunsets. But just as they’re starting to feel safe again, one of their new friends goes missing. Is it a coincidence? Or is the nightmare beginning all over again?

Oooo I LOVE books like that where you just can't pull yourself away once you start it. Sounds like an interesting one too. I'd not heard of it so thanks for pointing it out!
